Legal Secretary The candidate must be well experienced (5 years experience) and a top quality typing skills are a must. Will handle client contact, typing and filing of legal pleadings, setting of hearings and depositions, coordinate all of the scheduling aspects of a case. Must have at least five (5) years of experience in personal injury/divorce and litigation. Must have excellent typing, organizational, communication and writing skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment is required. The right candidate must be able to work independently. Must type at least 50 wpm and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be proficient in efiling in the various courts in S. Florida, both state and federal. All scheduling and calendaring of hearings, depositions, conferences, mediations, CMEs, etc. Typing of pleadings and preparation of filing packages for service, Drafting of those related pleadings and communication to appropriate party. Preparing attorneys for events. Electronic court filing. Must know how to work with discovery materials, Calendaring, Scheduling Depositions, Mediations & Hearings. Professional interaction with clients, attorneys and the courts. Candidate must also be a motivated team player with solid organizational skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Be proficient in Microsoft Word. Must have excellent organizational, communication and writing skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment is require, Able to work independently, manage time and prioritize. Must type at least 45 wpm.
