Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Performing intake of cases and analyzing case issues. Performing research for attorneys and reviewing immigration regulations to be applied to various case scenarios. Drafting petitions, applications and specialized support letters detailing visa classification eligibility or other immigration benefits. Handling client calls, as needed. Assisting with briefs and Requests for Evidence, as needed or requested. Ensuring timeliness in responding to inquiries from employees, managers and other individuals regarding immigration matters.
Qualifications: Should have prior experience, as well as an extensive understanding of the laws and regulations concerning U.S. Immigration Law. Strong substantive understanding of legal requirements and supporting documentation for business/family/employment immigration filings. Should have excellent writing, speaking, research and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Excellent research skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and immigration case management software.
