Construction Defect Paralegal (Insurance Defense) The candidate will be responsible to play an intricate role in the day-to-day operations as the paralegal/legal assistant will assist with case management and legal document preparation. Duties include: Drafting form pleadings and letters, Scanning incoming mail, Preparing discovery, Preparing med chronologies, Speaking with clients and various courts, Occasional runs to the court and Retrieving the mail along with other general office duties. Must have 2+ years of solid Construction Defense experience within Insurance Defense. Must be familiar with state courts, rules and procedures. Must be familiar with State Civil Rules, Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel).
