Associate Attorney Responsibilities: Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys. Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently. Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action. Utilize Lawcus, Loop.io, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and ClickUp to work cases efficiently and promptly. Conduct trials in Magistrate, State, and Superior Courts. Draft and respond to written discovery; document review. Defend and conduct depositions. Review and revise a variety of different contracts. Log case updates in case management software. Qualifications: Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school. Active Bar admission in Georgia. Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients. Extremely detail-oriented. An efficient researcher that is mindful of time being billed to the client. 1+ years experience in Georgia civil litigation, deposition and trial experience preferred. Developed customer service skills (experience in a service industry preferred). Familiarity with legal documents and civil proceedings. Wide-ranging knowledge of Georgia civil causes of action. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability and interest in building rapport with clients. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong legal analysis and written and oral advocacy skills. Responsible, self-initiating with proven ability to work independently. A demonstrated interest and passion for representing businesses and business owners. An interest in working in a fast-paced and varied environment. High technology aptitude. Proficiency with Mac computers, OS X, and Microsoft Office.
