Litigation Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Assisting in day-to-day operations of attorney practices, including carrying out administrative services, and providing support to the practice group(s) to which one is assigned. Formatting and editing documents, transcribing, and typing correspondence, drafting engagement letters and new matter memos, time entry, proofreading, preparing overnight packages and keeping attorneys organized.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. 5+ years of experience supporting a law firm partner. Experience working independently, within cross-functional teams, and in a collaborative environment. Must have knowledge of federal and state court filing requirements. Self-motivated and self-directed team player with outstanding organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing, and computer skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment. Must have advanced word processing proficiency and accurately type 55+ WPM. Ability to interface with personnel at all levels directly or virtually with finesse and diplomacy. Availability and flexibility to work overtime as assigned staff or firm needs require.
