Litigation Paralegal The candidate will draft, review and proofread all documents and correspondence produced, check for proper formatting, spelling, and grammatical errors, as well as ensuring that all signature pages, attachments, exhibits, or enclosures are accurate and complete before distribution. Will execute electronic court filings and download court pleadings. Maintain client files (both paper and electronic), organize and file documents in a designated order, and complete electronic scanning. May assist in preparing discovery production and schedule depositions. Support trial preparation to include maintaining and tracking case chronology. Manage the upkeep of multiple calendars and scheduling systems. Perform digital transcription tasks. Perform conflict checks, draft engagement letters in connection with file opening, and complete the file opening process. Effectively communicate information and updates on projects with attorneys.
The candidate should have a High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent organizational and time management skills needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed. Should have experience with writing and editing legal documents. Knowledge and familiarity with the United States Patent and Trademark Office procedures and law preferred. Should have 2-4 years office experience including MS Office Suite. Legal office experience including general knowledge of litigation practices and electronic court filings desired.
