Immigration Paralegal Responsibilities: The candidate will prepare and track the process of non-immigrant visa petitions, labor certifications, applications for permanent residency and naturalization for foreign nationals. Work with attorneys to manage caseloads from intake through processing and filing. Monitor deadlines and prioritize caseload on a weekly basis to meet client expectations. Work with online case management system, gather and review client documents, assess and flag issues, and review/draft forms, filing letters, and employer support letters. Communicate with clients including responding to questions, providing updates, and assisting with managing expectations. Ensure applications/petitions are complete prior to filing and that deadlines are met. Track the status of filings with various government agencies. Conduct research on immigration laws and procedures as necessary and assist attorneys with strategy. Keep abreast of changes in immigration laws and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Qualifications: The candidate should have a Bachelor degree. Must have 3 5 years of prior paralegal experience. PERM experience is required. Should have proficiency with Outlook, MS Word and Excel. Should have strong English writing skills. Must have proactive and extremely organized. Should have strong attention to detail. Must have ability to multi-task.
