Family Law Paralegal Responsible for providing a broad range of support to attorneys and clients. Maintaining client files in both paper and digital form. Managing and protecting sensitive information. Assisting clients in preparing financial information sheets and inventories and appraisements. Maintaining calendars and addressing conflicts in a respectful and courteous manner. Answering phones and keeping accurate messages. Preparing and managing trial notebooks under the supervision of the attorneys.
Requirements: 2 years' recent paralegal experience. Experience providing paralegal support to clients dealing with divorces, modifications, SAPCR s, adoptions, and other family law related matters is required. Must possess a client focused approach to work, be able to handle multiple assignments efficiently, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to assist teams in meeting client demands on accelerated schedules. Must have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and operate with strong initiative to meet billable requirements.Excellent proofreading and technical skills. Keen attention to detail. Professional oral and written communication skills. Excellent email and telephone responsiveness. Ability and desire to learn. Demonstrated good judgment in making decisions. Familiarity with federal, state and local rules/filing procedures. Flexibility with work schedule is required to accommodate overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays, when necessary. Board certification in family law is preferred. Spanish fluency is preferred.
