Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following. Responsibilities of a Workers' Compensation Paralegal E-file all court documents with OJCC Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties relevant to the case files Conduct factual investigation Prepare discovery documents and responses Draft and serve subpoenas and notices Coordinate depositions (IME and EMA appointments, conference calls) Draft pleadings and motions to file with the court Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes Organize medical composites, exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices Aid attorneys discovery requests Gather and maintain relevant information from a variety of sources (ex: medical records, witnesses, and clients) Help with witness preparation Prepare case settlements and execution of settlement documents with clients Qualifications of a Workers' Compensation Paralegal Associate degree or higher, certificate, or equivalent work experience Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury related practice areas preferred At least 2 years of working experience as a paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work independently Salary & Benefits Law Firm offers competitive compensation and benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance. Workers' Compensation Paralegal Job Overview Law Firm is looking for an experienced Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant to ensure that all case files are managed and organized effectively and efficiently. The paralegal will be responsible for filing court documents, conducting factual investigations, preparing discovery documents and responses, drafting pleadings, and managing case settlements. Applicants should have at least a two year working experience as a paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
