Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will do general administrative work including answering phones, filing documents, receiving incoming mail, preparing shipping, maintaining attorneys calendars, managing office events and meetings, and other ad hoc projects. Maintain calendars and schedules. Draft and edit various legal documents. Prepare reports and correspondence. Analyze legal documents for accuracy. Organize files and coordinate records and minor legal research. Client communication. Prepare pleadings, motions and discovery requests and responses. A high school or equivalent is preferred. Legal experience is preferred. Experience in drafting and editing documents, proof-reading, and client communication is essential. Must have strong typing and editing skills and be highly proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe. Must be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work independently in a demanding environment, as well as work professionally and effectively with attorneys and other staff members.
