Trial Attorney Duties: Provide leadership through mentoring and coaching of other members of the team with less trial experience. Independently handles a litigation caseload from case inception through trial/resolution, including appeals or arbitration; Demonstrate considerable initiative and conducts all appropriate legal action to best protect the interests of clients; develop and communicate winning trial strategies to clients consistently; Meet and exceed client reporting and litigation guidelines; and try cases in all courts in the State. Qualifications: Licensed to practice in the State of New York; Has knowledge and expertise in one or more areas of law relevant to one or more of the following practice areas: Construction, NY Labor Law, Transportation, Municipal Liability, Premises Liability or General Liability; Significant experience with trials, arbitrations, mediations and hearings; Ability to analyze and solve complex trial issues in advance of and during trial; Significant negotiation skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and Strong knowledge of state and local practices.
