Law Firm is seeking a Foreclosure Attorney to join their team in either New York City, NY or Iselin, NJ. The ideal candidate must have a J.D. degree and be licensed in New York and in good standing with the New York Bar. Additionally, the Foreclosure Attorney must have a minimum of one year motion practice experience and knowledge of New York Mortgage Foreclosure Law. The Foreclosure Attorney will be responsible for managing a case load of foreclosure matters on behalf of mortgage lenders and investors, making appearances in court and arguing motions necessary to the successful completion of routine foreclosure, eviction, title, and other matters, and communicating with clients to ensure quality representation and implementation of all client directives. Additionally, the Foreclosure Attorney must collaborate with support staff for preparation and execution of legal documents used in foreclosure process, analyze loan files, title reports and other client documents, and draft legal pleadings and correspondence in connection with mortgage foreclosure actions. The successful candidate must have strong writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate written and oral, manage time and priorities, keep confidences, work independently or in a group/team setting, maintain a high level of professionalism amidst any challenges, and interact and communicate well with clients, staff, peers and management of all levels. The physical demands of this role require the employee to frequently sit, talk, or hear and occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
