Paralegal - Insurance Defense Litigation The candidate must have 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation in New York State courts. Experience in e-filing with the New York State Court system is a must, as is trial preparation experience. Draft routine legal documents, Manage multiple cases from start to trial, Collect documents from various sources, Collect, organize, analyze and summarize medical records, Summarizing deposition transcripts, Review and analyze documents. Conduct various document searches and factual research E-filing in New York State Court System, Experience in all phases of the litigation process, Ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects for several attorneys, Ability to search database programs and assist with organizing, summarizing and/or categorizing. Strong verbal and written communication skills, Exceptionally well organized and detail oriented are required. Adaptable to changing priorities; flexible are required. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with all levels of firm personnel, clients, other counsel are required. Ability to troubleshoot issues and create solutions, Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required. Paralegal Certificate preferred with Bachelors Degree required, 3 years experience as a litigation paralegal (insurance defense) are required.
