Family Law Paralegal The candidate is primarily responsible for assisting attorneys in preparing for various court actions in all aspects of Family Law. Prepares and drafts motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, documents, and other correspondence (e.g., debt and asset lists, witness affidavits, child support worksheets, responsive pleadings, etc.). Performs legal research. Maintains attorney calendars and case files. Schedules appointments, court appearances, and mediation/deposition hearings. Liaison between the client and attorney, conducting client interviews. Tracks dates and deadlines for responses to petitions/counter petitions and discovery requests. Prepares trial notebooks and providing assistance in trial settings. Prepares and reviews discovery packages, including disclosure statements, answers to interrogatories, and production requests. Maintains effective communication with clients. Should have an Associate's Degree with 1+ years of experience. Spanish is a MUST. Must possess excellent writing skills, excellent communication skills, and analytical skills. Strong code of ethics needed.
