Workers Compensation Defense Attorney The candidate will represent employers and carriers before the WCAB in all phases of litigation, practicing law in compliance with ethical standards as established by state law. Conduct legal research and pre-trial discovery. Provide legal analysis and advice. Prepare legal pleadings and correspondence in support of defense strategies. Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, conferences, lien trials and other appearances. Provide effective and timely communications, legal advice and other services to clients. Market to existing and potential clients. The candidate should have JD from accredited law school and licensed to practice in California. Should have 2 years of current or recent experience in WC defense or applicant practice. Should have Knowledge of current WC case law, Labor Code, and experience with depos and before the WCAB. Should be well-organized with good analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer focus and quality client relation skills required.
