Federal Civil / Criminal Defense Attorney The candidate will perform legal research in federal, criminal and class action. Interprets laws, rulings and regulations for individuals. Analyzes the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents. Presents and summarize cases to judges and juries. Evaluates findings and develops strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases. Conducts legal research and analysis on complex civil, federal and criminal cases. Drafts opinions and recommendations. Prepares case summaries and bench memorandum. Drafts case briefs. Analyzes court and case records, to ensure accuracy of facts represented in the briefs. The candidate must be a current Florida Bar Member in good standing. Experienced in Civil, Criminal and Federal Law. At least 2 years of experience preferred. Experienced in class action suits and appellate work. Previews law review or research assistant experience for a judge is a plus. Member the of the Southern / Middle districts of Florida. Excellent writing skills. Excellent communication skills. Analytical skills. Strong code ethics.
