Paralegal Legal Assistant The candidate will assist the Attorney in all aspects of discovery responses and document production. Greet clients and visitors. Mail, answer phone calls, and schedule meetings/court appearances. Manage Attorney's calendars. Transcribe digital dictation and file management (electronic and paper). Gather, analyze, and organize factual information. Initial drafting of non-complex pleadings. Interface with firm personnel, opposing counsel and their staff, and court personnel. Interact with clients. Assist in the preparation for trials, depositions, and mediations. Perform other administrative or office duties as required or as assigned. Should preferably have a Paralegal degree or college degree. Must have 2+ years of paralegal experience in family law and estate planning/probate. The ability to prioritize and handle numerous competing demands and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must have proficient knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and basic procedures. Should possess organizational and time management skills. Also, above-average skills in MS Office Applications are needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Strong attention to detail, analytical, and critical thinking skills are essential.
