Paralegal Legal Assistant The candidate's duties include: Calendar deadlines; File pleadings and motions in both federal and state courts; Formatting Word documents and PDFs; Compile and organize documents and creating chronological sorts; Client Intake; Intake record and store client information; Obtain, organize and summarize medical records.; Conduct factual and legal research; Assist with the drafting, proofreading and serving of discovery documents; Investigate facts to help in the negotiation/litigation of legal disputes; Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal rules of civil procedure; Various administrative tasks and trial preparation. 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, legal secretary or other legal assistant required. Familiarity with Word and PDF required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Experience in the personal injury field a plus. Experience with trial preparation a plus. Familiarity with Westlaw or Lexis research required.
