Heading 1: FT Paralegal Position at Heading 2: Job Responsibilities is looking for a full-time Paralegal to assist with estate planning, probate, and long-term care practices. The Paralegal will need to be skilled in writing and proofreading, as they will be tasked with organizing thoughts into writing. Additionally, they will be expected to communicate with clients, provide customer service, and help clients understand the importance of estate planning. The duties of the job include, but are not limited to: - Preparing estate planning documents such as wills, living wills, powers of attorney, deeds, and trusts - Preparing probate and long-term care documents - Assisting attorneys in long-term care and probate cases - Talking with clients and potential clients to answer their questions and provide reassurance - Researching legal issues - Working closely with clients with a positive and empathetic attitude - Tracking income and asset spreadsheets and monthly statements - Preparing correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and potential clients - Managing client information and organizing client files - Demonstrating a team mentality Heading 2: Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Paralegal position will possess the following qualifications: - Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook - Knowledge of Elder Docs and Clio is a plus - Superb writing and editing skills - Excellent proofreading skills - Strong attention to detail in documents - High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently under tight deadlines - Demonstrated professional and empathetic demeanor - Prior experience as a paralegal, estate planning and probate experience preferred, 3+ years - Paralegal certificate or degree preferred - Multi-tasking with a smile - Excellent client communication - Strong time management skills Heading 2: Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time position with a competitive salary ranging from $43,000 to $50,000+ depending on experience. There is an opportunity for bonus compensation for outstanding performance and meeting established goals and milestones. Additionally, the position includes a full benefits package.
