Legal Assistant/Paralegal Duties: General administrative work including answering phones, filing documents, receiving incoming mail, preparing shipping, maintaining attorneys calendars, managing office events and meetings, and other ad hoc projects Maintain calendars and schedules. Draft and edit various legal documents. Prepare reports and correspondence. Analyze legal documents for accuracy. Organize files and coordinate records and minor legal research. Client communication. Prepare pleadings, motions and discovery requests and responses.
Qualifications: Legal experience is preferred. Experience in drafting and editing documents, proofreading, and client communication is essential. Strong typing and editing skills and be highly proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe. Should be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and the ability to work independently in a demanding environment, as well as work professionally and effectively with attorneys and other staff members.
