# Drafting Paralegal for Family Law Firm Law Firm of Joseph Lassen is looking for an experienced drafting paralegal to join their team. This position is initially remote, but may eventually transition to a hybrid schedule of part time in office and part time from home. The office is located at 24285 Katy Freeway, Katy, TX 77494. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of family law experience and must be a team player willing to take on tasks as they come and adapt when necessary. This is a fast-paced, high volume law firm. Compensation is commensurate with experience and starts at $60,000 per year. Benefits include flexible schedule, health insurance, 401k, and paid time off. ## Responsibilities of the Drafting Paralegal The drafting paralegal will be responsible for the following tasks: - Drafting initial pleadings and orders and efiling same - Following up with clients to get additional information for drafting petitions, orders, etc. - Drafting motions, Rule 11 Agreements, and other drafting assignments and efiling same - Responding to emails - Reviewing orders vs. MSAs and other orders as sent by OC - Preparing inventories and maintaining up to date information on inventories - Preparing discovery requests and responses - Working with the client to prepare answers to discovery propounded - Forensic discovery review of responses received and preparation of summary reports to attorneys The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and must be comfortable with data entry within excel and preparing spreadsheets with information.
