Junior Paralegal (entry level) The candidate will Assist senior paralegals with obtaining records, scheduling medical examinations, and filing court documents. Directly interact with court staff and opposing counsel. Help develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; preparing and subpoenas; preparing and filing discovery requests; summarizing of records; and organizing materials for case review. Organize and handle records subpoenas, retention, and summarizing of records. Establish and organize files; maintain and monitor attorneys calendars; meet deadlines; document actions; and confirm case status with attorney. Support firm attorneys in all matters related to preparing case files and representing clients. Perform legal research and draft memorandums, pleadings, and motions.
A Working toward bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from certified program required. Should have excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks and deadlines. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have case management skills including review, analysis and production of documents, and other litigation support. Should have Strong technical skills in litigation software and e-Discovery tools.
