Paralegal/ Legal Administrative Assistant Duties: Conduct research to support legal proceedings. Handle legal tasks including but not limited to drafting legal correspondence and pleadings. Organize and manage client files, documents, and exhibits. File documents with federal and state courts and assist at hearings, arbitration, mediation, administrative proceedings, closings, and trials. Other administrative tasks such as filing papers, answering telephone calls, and maintaining and organizing reference files. Qualifications: 2 years previous experience as a paralegal or legal administrative assistant. Demonstrably solid knowledge of legal terminology, federal and state rules of legal procedure and substantive law. Excellent organizational skills to manage voluminous case files and exhibits. Ability to handle pressure well, and understand the importance of deadlines. Highly trustworthy, discreet, and able to use good judgment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people in a variety of situations. Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Quickbooks.
