Legal Secretary - Harrison, AR Job Details Full-time Internship$12 - $15 an hour2 hours ago Qualifications Communication skills Microsoft Office Microsoft Word Windows High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The primary responsibility is to perform secretarial duties for an attorney while providing overall assistance to the day-to-day operations of the office. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate the telephone console by professionally answering incoming calls Directs callers to appropriate persons and/or taking messages Maintains reception and office facilities Greets and directs visitors in a friendly, professional manner Coordinates and schedules attorney's appointments Assists with other related clerical duties such as mailing, shipping FedEx, photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning as needed Organizes, correlates, types and/or edits legal documents and correspondence from handwritten, typed drafts or electronic documents Generates, organizes and maintains extensive sets of files, transcripts and reports Scan documents and send/receive via email for attorney Keeps record of attorney's time and expenses Maintains calendar of attorney's appointments, conferences, court dates and meetings Reads and routes incoming and internal mail; assembles large mailings Proofreads documents for changes to be made before the final copy is produced Assists with other duties as assigned COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES Ability to work under pressure of deadlines Keen attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and multitask Ability to be polite, respectful and professional in stressful situations Ability to work independently Ability to exercise discretion, tact, and courtesy EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School (or equivalent) required; Legal secretarial experience preferred Knowledge of PC and Windows applications Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word and other Office products Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an aptitude to interface with lawyers, clients and staff Job Types: Full-time, Internship Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Work Location: One location Work Remotely: No Work Location: One location
