Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with pre-litigation and litigation matters. Perform clerical duties such as typing and filing to the extent required to produce work products or assure proper organization of case files. Utilize client management software on a daily basis. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and Court, etc. in a professional manner. Build and maintain new and existing client files. Maintain operating systems, such as billing software, calendars, etc. Assist in drafting legal documents and correspondence. File legal documents in the appropriate court. Obtain and review various documents, such as bylaws, meeting minutes, bank statements, deposition transcripts and case filings. Gathering reports and information on behalf of clients and drafting correspondence, Scheduling meetings, depositions, court appearances and key litigation deadlines. Drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses and filing documents with various courts Interacting well with team members. Completing assignments as requested in a timely fashion. Remaining flexible and open to requests for support or assistance outside the scope this job description and to other duties as directed by Attorneys.
Qualifications: Should have 2 years of Paralegals & Legal Assistants experience. Previous work experience in as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a billable capacity is required. Demonstrate organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills to allow for timely, effective, and accurate performance of job duties. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys, staff, and clients. Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage various projects and anticipate support needs of Attorneys. Ability to review and understand contractual agreements. Ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in confidential matters. Ability to work independently.
