Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for supporting the attorney by performing a variety of administrative duties, including drafting legal documents, answering telephones and emails, and communicating with clients. Drafting legal documents and pleadings under attorney s direction. File, organize, scan, copy and email legal documents. Schedule court hearings and client appointments. File court documents with the Court ahead of statutory deadlines. Handle money for client trust accounts. Communicate effectively with clients, other law firms and the general public. Qualifications: Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies preferred. 3+ years experience as a legal secretary. Familiarity with legal documents and terminology. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of PCLaw, Time Matters, & Softpro software programs preferred. Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to keep client information confidential. Courteous and professional demeanor. Capable of working without continuous direction from attorney. Trustworthy and capable of handling client money. Excellent accounting skills. Strong work ethic, is detail oriented and has previous work experience in a law office.
