Labor & Employment Litigation Attorney Duties: Handle heavy loads of litigation cases. Practice is employment law representing employees disputes against their employers mostly in the areas of wage and hours, harassment, discrimination and unlawful termination.
Qualifications: 1-3 years' civil litigation - Labor & Employment experience, possess an exceptional legal writing and editing skills, very highly skilled. He/she must be able to handle assignment with minimal direction, to work independently, and to be able to handle each case through all litigation stages. CELA member is preferred. Must have solid experience, and ability to research and complete the following types of projects: Complaint, Issue Discovery, Interrogatories, Document Requests, Subpoenas, Deposition Notices, Motions to Compel, Protective Orders, and Discovery Responses; Oppositions to Motions for Summary Judgment, Motions for Judgment on Pleadings, Motion to Dismiss, and Demurrers; Settlement demand letters, Settlement Agreements and Negotiations;4) Legal research using Rutter A?A s Guides, annotated codes, Westlaw, and online research; Trial/Arbitration Briefs, Prepare Exhibit Lists, Prepare Witness Lists, Jury Instructions, and Motions in Limine; Communicate effectively and efficiently with clients, and opposing counsel.
