Family Law Paralegal The candidate will is responsible for carrying out duties in a legal setting under the guidance of the attorneys. Will be performing well defined, semi-routine functions with considerable independence and exercise judgment and discretion in handling assigned responsibilities. Will understand the basics of a number of court documents. Schedule, coordinate and confirm court dates, appointments, and meetings. Deal with inquiries from clients via email, fax, letter and phone. Interview witnesses and other people associated with cases. Preparing and formatting memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents. Independently draft standard routine pleadings, correspondence, and other documents. File pleadings electronically with courts. Maintain superior public relations with business associates and clients. Proofread and editing legal documents as required. 2 or 4 Year College Degree or paralegal certificate required. 3+ years of experience as a paralegal preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills (written, verbal, phone, email) required. Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software required. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously/excel under pressure and timelines required. Organizational Skills required. A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality required.
