Associate Attorney - Investigations & Resolutions The candidate' must have 1one to 3three years of labor/employment law experience to join our Investigations & Resolutions team within our Labor and Employment Practice Group in the Portland, Maine office. This team of attorneys is trained to conduct neutral, external investigations for a broad range of clients including educational institutions, companies, non-profit organizations, and state and local governmental entities. Frequently this team investigates highly sensitive complaints including complaints of sexual misconduct, sexual assault, Title IX violations, discrimination, harassment, and bullying. Should have at least one year of labor/employment law experience conducting investigations as an unbiased and neutral party, preferably with experience leading Title IX investigations in educational settings or investigating / prosecuting criminal domestic abuse or sexual abuse cases; Superior writing and emotional intelligence skills and knowledge of trauma-informed interview practices; and have an ability to work independently and simultaneously on multiple projects. Should hold an active J.D. degree. This role can be based in a remote work location.
