First Party Litigation Attorney The candidate will conduct legal analysis of issues with the pre-suit handling and litigation of insurance claims. Read, review, and analyze pleadings (including discovery requests and responses). This includes answering discovery. Take and defend depositions. Engage in direct communications with judges, attorneys, and clients. Generally engage in all litigation-related events encompassing hearings, depositions, mediations, conferences, trials, etc. Manage a full caseload from case inception to conclusion. Prioritize a busy workload based on deadlines and degrees of importance of tasks. Meet monthly settlement requirements. Should have 2-3 years of civil litigation experience. Must be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing. Must be an excellent communicator and have appropriate conflict resolution skills. Experience/comfortability negotiating is a must. Practical knowledge of legal processes and procedures (Florida Rules of Evidence, Civil Procedure, and Rules of Judicial Administration). Must have very strong organizational and time management skills. Must be self-disciplined, have excellent time-management skills, and be able to create a structure for to work within by prioritizing workload. Should have the ability to multi-task and maintain work quality. Should have the ability to think critically/logically and problem solve. Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) is required.
