Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will work closely with attorneys on residential and commercial real estate purchases, sales and refinance transactions. Timely open, process and close title files. Calendar important dates for each transaction. Timely respond to all emails and calls from buyers, sellers, lenders. attorneys, realtors, and/or brokers. Keep attorneys apprised of status of all files. Prepare closing documents, including CDs and Settlement Statements. Monitor files and escalate issues requiring attorney involvement. Work closely with Lenders and Seller s/Buyer's attorneys for preparation of Closing Disclosure, Settlement Statements and HUD-1 s, and balance for the disbursement of Closing funds. Manage the distribution of original Closing documents both in-house and to others. Timely obtain funding approval from lenders, fund transactions and deliver closing packages to lenders. Review and record Closing documents. Timely order title policies and have attorneys review and sign title policies and deliver policies to lenders and buyers. Ensure organization of files including maintenance and management.Perform other duties as assigned. Should preferably have 2+ years of Real Estate law experience. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Doubletime, ATIDS, Simplifile, and AltaStar is required.
