Salary This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. # Employment and Litigation Paralegal in Williamsburg, VA Law firm is currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to support their Employment and Litigation Groups at their Williamsburg, VA location. The ideal candidate will have a college degree and/or paralegal certificate, three or more years of paralegal experience in employment and litigation environment, and the ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects. ## Responsibilities The Employment and Litigation Paralegal will have a variety of responsibilities, including: * Providing legal support on labor and employment law and general litigation matters * Drafting legal correspondence * Coordinating Affirmative Action Plan submissions * Drafting, editing, and reviewing Employee Handbooks * Managing and organizing multiple document intensive cases * Preparing pleadings and discovery responses * Answering interrogatories and issuing subpoenas * Assisting with preparation of depositions, including gathering and organizing exhibits and scheduling * Assisting with trial preparation; file, exhibit, and witness list preparation and organization * Preparing and processing electronic case filing ## Skills and Education Requirements The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills and education requirements: * College degree and/or paralegal certificate * 3+ years of paralegal experience in employment and litigation environment * Ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects * Ability to search electronic database programs and assist with organizing, summarizing, and/or categorizing documents * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Excellent computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, document management, and trial support software * Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to interact with support staff and attorneys at every level * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Demonstrates behavior that displays reliability and professionalism * Ability to offer trial support, including travel and overtime ## Salary This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
