We are a professional, busy, and fast-paced law office, specializing in Litigation, Municipal, and Land Use Law. Our goal is to find a Senior Paralegal with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage all other lower-level staff of the office and assist the Partner Attorneys in their day-to-day operations. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Paralegal who has a strong background in administrative and legal procedures. The successful applicant will be responsible for helping to manage the law firm's daily operations and will also provide support to our attorneys and legal department staff in a wide range of legal matters. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications: - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook - Previous experience with multi-line VOIP telephone systems, including taking detailed messages, and providing sufficient service to clients - Proficient in the New Jersey E-Courts and JEDS filing system - Organizational skills allowing you to prioritize assignments according to deadlines and needs of the partner attorneys - Proficient in the New Jersey Appellate Division filing system - Familiarity with the preparation of: Case Information Statements; Notice of Appearances; Substitutions of Attorneys; Notice of Motions - Ability to draft legal correspondence (i.e. professional correspondences from attorneys to clients, government bodies, and Court/Judges) Additional skills/qualifications not required but favored: - Familiarity with Discovery procedures including but not limited to: drafting interrogatories, drafting subpoenas ad testificatum and duces tecum, deposition preparation, indexing voluminous documents propounded by adversaries - Previous work with municipal/city law, including the preparation of Resolutions and Ordinances, Tax Appeals, Government contracts - Ability to problem solve technical/computer related issues - Proficiency with Adobe PDF programs for redacting, bates-stamping, and additional document compilation **Hiring Insights:** - Hiring 1 candidate for this role - Urgently hiring - Job activity: Posted Today **If you Require Alternative Methods of Application or Screening:** You must approach the employer directly to request this as Indeed is not responsible for the employer's application process.
