Legal Assistant - Paralegal The candidate will prepare or assist with the preparation of legal documents, calendaring and tickling various deadlines and due dates, direct client contact, handle office correspondence, answer phones and emails, arrange meetings, and remind the team of upcoming deadlines. Handle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlines. Help with creating a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when necessary. Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently. Degree or certificate as a paralegal is preferred. Must have experience in a law firm or similar setting. Should have 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant. Typing skills of 50+ WPM is required.
