Legal Secretary/Assistant Duties: (1) Transcribing dictation, drafting and finalizing of documents (including correspondence, and pleadings);(2) Calendaring; (3) Coordinating depositions, hearings, and meetings;(4) Interacting with court personnel throughout the county; (5) Communicating with clients and other attorneys or their staff; and(6) Assisting one partner and two associate attorneys. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have: (1) 5+ years of relevant experience as a legal assistant with experience in litigation; (2) proficiency in Microsoft Word, Timeslips; (3) knowledge of court procedures throughout California and an ability to e-file documents with the courts; (4) capability to work effectively in a busy office; (5) excellent organizational skills; and (6) ability to keep confidential any information, observations, or viewpoints regarding business of the firm and its clients. Requires ability to perform detailed work consistently, and accurately. Must be able to work well with team members and able to handle a large volume of work; perform repetitive tasks while maintaining positive attitude and friendly demeanor; able to handle changing priorities and rush jobs when required; outstanding office and computer skills; exceptional written and verbal communication ability.
