The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a litigation legal assistant/paralegal and will be highly organized, with demonstrated ability to efficiently manage discovery, preparation of exhibits for depositions and trial, interview witnesses, schedule witnesses and experts, issue subpoenas, draft documents, and obtain and track records, bills, and liens. The legal assistant/paralegal will need to have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe. Ability to learn new software and tasks is essential. Candidates should also have a sense of humor and compassion, and be an energetic, self-starter who is able to prioritize and keep track of details in multiple cases, calendars, and deadlines. This position requires the ability to quickly solve problems as they arise and familiarity with Oregon rules. Paralegal certification or college degree is preferred, though equivalent work experience and training may be substituted. Compensation and Benefits The successful candidate will be offered a full-time position with a salary of $24 - $29 an hour. This position requires the ability to quickly solve problems as they arise and familiarity with Oregon rules.
