Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys. Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and partners. Extensive Transcription. Prepare and file various legal documents, such as appeals, motions, or petitions in state and federal court. Open new files, including conflict checks and engagement letters. Enter attorney time in time and billing system. Maintain attorney calendars. Case list management and monthly reports utilizing Excel. Create PowerPoint presentations. Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders. Qualifications: High school or equivalent preferred. 3+ years of experience as a legal secretary. Accurate typing speed of 70+ wpm. Proficient in transcription. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint and Excel. Proficient in Adobe. Knowledge of legal terminology and court system regulation. Outstanding time-management and typing skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
