Discovery Paralegal The candidate Should have ability to communicate and work effectively with attorneys and support staff. Must have ability to establish effective working relationships with clients and keep them informed at all times of case status. Should have knowledge of statutory and local court rules; ability to manage deadlines. Must have excellent writing skills; ability to draft family law forms, pleadings, briefs, discovery and correspondence, and write effective declarations. Ability to prepare for trials, MSC's and hearings, including preparation of trial notebooks, exhibit binders and required pleadings is required. Create reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests. Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions and other case filings. Monitor changes to government guidelines or regulations and submit reports on pertinent changes. Utilize existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases. Review, analyze, summarize and organize case files, documents, discovery. Assist in preparing and organizing subpoenas or other formal requests for documents. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, court e-filing systems, Adobe is required.
