This firm is often at the top of the list of prominent Boston law firms. Large and growing, these lawyers are well-connected throughout the Boston area, and are looking to increase the reach of their influence. With beautiful offices (that seem to go on and on...) the lawyers here are generally quite happy with their practice. Why? At the associate level, lawyers are given a bit more responsibility than your average law firm lawyer, and depending on the practice group, given quite solid training and structured mentoring. Although the partners are increasingly conscious of the billable hours of their associates, they are generally accessible. In particular, several of the litigation partners bring in high level litigation work and remain very involved throughout to monitor and guide the associates participation.
Attorney Development Coordinator The candidate will coordinates and manages initiatives in support of the staffing strategy for assigned clients. Will assist ADMs with monthly and weekly reporting related to associate hours and productivity. Manage reports and assist in the preparation for various meetings with firm leaders. Provide assistance with onboarding of new and lateral attorneys, including preparation of materials, scheduling meetings, and responding to attorney requests for information. Assist with attorney departure, relocation, and internal transition processes. Assist with tracking and planning for attorney leaves of absence. Maintain attorney advisor lists and track meetings. Provide back-up support to ADMs when an ADM is away from the office handling other priorities, by responding to requests as needed. Performance Management - Assist the ADMs with encouraging participation by evaluators to complete reviews, distribution, and tracking of attorney annual and mid-year reviews. Assist with planning and execution of social events The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree. Must have 2+ year of experience in professional services environment. Knowledge of Excel and database management (i.e. Excel, Outlook) essential. Must display excellent oral and written communication skills.
