Salary: $45,000-$50,000 ## Paralegal - Personal Injury at Law Firm Law Firm is looking for a full-time pre-litigation paralegal to manage Plaintiff's personal injury files. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain billing requirements and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Intermediate-level computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, document management systems and time-keeping software are necessary. ### Duties and Responsibilities - Communicate with clients, adjusters and medical facilities - Calendaring dates - Review insurance policies to determine coverage - Request medical records and medical bills - Communicate with health insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid and tri-care - Ability to review medical records and accurately summarize a client's condition(s) - Prepare medical summaries - Prepare legal documents and settlement demand packages - Work closely with adjusters - Perform administrative tasks and other traditional responsibilities of the position such as filing papers, answering telephone calls, and maintaining and organizing paper and electronic files ### Preferred Duties and Responsibilities - Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, and discovery - Ensure copies of documentation are properly filed and distributed to all parties - Schedule client/witness interviews, hearings, meetings, depositions, mediations - Assist attorney to prepare for trial to include organization of exhibits - Pre-trial motions with attorney's instruction and guidance ### Qualifications - Five+ years of prior legal experience - College degree and/or relevant years of law firm experience or other related entity - Familiarity with insurance company billing practices, case management software - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Must pass criminal background check and drug test ### Salary $45,000-$50,000 College degree and/or relevant years of law firm experience or other related entity
