Law Firm Personal Injury Attorney Law Firm is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our Las Vegas office. This position will handle all phases of personal injury litigation from preparing and filing complaints, to discovery and trial. Duties will include case oversight of litigation cases at all stages of litigation; propounding and responding to discovery; conferring with opposing counsel on discovery disputes; attending hearings preparing necessary motions; preparing subpoenas; law and motion work; taking and defending depositions; and preparing trial documents. The ideal candidate is internally driven, able to take direction well, and is detail-oriented. We are looking for a team player ready to come in and immediately contribute to a positive workflow. There is an opportunity for growth based on the level of commitment and production. Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of various types of personal injury matters in litigation Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including filing complaints Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings Take and defend depositions throughout the course of litigation Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions Attend court appearances Preparing for trial Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases Perform administrative and management functions for the department Direct and support investigation on all assigned litigation matters Assess potential and current matters for valuation purposes to aid in early resolution Identify and retain medical experts and/or legal experts for each particular matter including their preparation for trial and/or depositions Maintain communication with clients through the course of the claim and litigation, including all client-required reporting and budgeting guidelines Perform legal research on relevant issues during the pre-litigation process throughout the course of litigation Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of pre-litigation and litigation experience Strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required Juris Doctor degree and current good standing with CA and NV State bar is required. Extensive experience taking and defending depositions required. Ability to manage discovery and assist with trial preparation. Active, acute knowledge of medical experts.
