Trusts and Estates Paralegal The candidate's responsibilities include general office management, preparation of correspondence, file maintenance, and organization. Will draft, file & serve various legal documents including, probate & administration petitions, affidavits, notices, responses, accountings and various other Surrogate's Court documents. Draft various estate planning documents, including Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills and Health Care Proxies. Request pertinent information/documents, and related items from clients and third parties; follow-up on unfulfilled requests. Assist attorneys in preparing for court hearings and appearances by obtaining all necessary documents and information. Establish a strong follow-up system, which includes proper calendaring to ensure court hearings and deadlines are not missed and timeline expectations are met. 1 year of legal/document preparation experience in a professional setting required. Strong scheduling skills, with great attention to detail required. Professional attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
