Legal Secretary The candidate will be answering phones, typing correspondence and pleadings, working on various court filings, transcribing dictation, assisting clients, assisting attorneys with client needs, organizing files, and compiling discovery. Keeping track of the calendar, keeping attorneys informed of upcoming hearings, meetings, etc. each week. Organizing client files. Must have 2+ years of legal work experience or similar. Must be able to use, with skill and speed, Microsoft Word and Excel and type 65+ wpm. Should have professional verbal communication skills. Experience with all manners of office organization, including client file organization, supply orders, maintaining the common areas is required. Must be detail-oriented, friendly, able to prioritize and manage deadlines and transcribe dictation, format documents, spell check, proofread. Familiarity with legal forms ie: Judicial Counsel Forms is required. TimeSlips knowledge is a plus. Must have the ability to work independently and great time management skills.
