# Associate Attorney at is looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join their civil litigation practice in Thibodaux, LA. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of prior work experience and federal court experience is a plus. They must have strong legal writing and advocacy skills. This position offers competitive salary commensurate with experience. ## Job Duties and Responsibilities The Associate Attorney will be responsible for: * Providing legal advice and representation in large dispute cases, including commercial litigation, personal injury and construction law * Drafting motions, pleadings and other documents related to litigation * Researching and analyzing legal issues * Negotiating settlements * Representing clients in court ## Qualifications and Skills * At least one year of prior work experience * Federal court experience is a plus * Strong legal writing and advocacy skills * Active Bar license in good standing ## Work Schedule and Location This is a contract position, typically Monday through Friday. The successful candidate must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Thibodaux, LA 70301 before starting work. ## Salary Salary is commensurate with experience.
