Estate Planning Paralegal Duties: Effectively correspond with clients, financial institutions, and/or beneficiaries to obtain needed information. Obtain, track and complete all required forms. Draft applicable correspondence. Meet with clients to obtain needed information. Stay one step ahead and help prepare attorneys for court. Proactively track and monitor deadlines. Keep all files up to date using MyCase. Correspond effectively with probate court as needed. Promptly respond to clients on all questions and provide timely updates on the status of files. Track all time worked daily.
Qualifications: Associates Degree with 2-4 years experience with Florida probate and/or guardianship. Working knowledge of the internet, legal research tools, court websites, and familiarity with practice management software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be personable yet persistent. Ability to prioritize workloads with chancing priorities and manage workflow process effectively. Ability to follow through, learn on the go, and adapt to the ever-changing legal environment.
