Real Estate Paralegal Duties: Coordinate due diligence for a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, borrowings etc.Review and summarize title commitments and surveys. Work closely with title companies to clear title and obtain title policies. Prepare and file a variety of documents, including deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, etc.. Obtain permits and other documents from agencies. Prepare and distribute closing binders. Prepare closing checklists and coordinate the closing process for various commercial real estate transactions. Prepare first draft of commercial loan documents for review by attorneys. Must understand real estate law, title reviews, foreclosures, REO s, knowledge of financing, and lending documents, etc. Ability to work on real estate transactions from the initial contract through the closing. Work closely with attorneys in preparation for transactions, including coordinating efforts between outside counsel, lenders, borrowers, sellers and other business contacts.
Qualifications: Must have 3 years of commercial/residential real estate experience. Bilingual a MUST (English/Spanish). Strong work ethic and ability to work independently. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work product to both attorneys and clients. Strong attention to detail and highly organized. Team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
