Labor And Employment Paralegal The candidate's responsibilities include document management, including review of documents for responsiveness, bates labeling, organization of documents, and compiling information for discovery responses/pleadings/motions, depositions, and trial preparation. Draft discovery requests and responses. Conduct Witness interviews. Draft Rule 26 disclosures. Prepare damage analysis and creation of damage models for wage/hour cases. Conduct payroll audits. Electronic filing in state and federal courts. Facilitate document production (hard copy and electronic formats). Management of litigation databases and support of electronic discovery processes. Review documents for privilege and compile privilege logs. Prepare, serve and follow up on subpoenas. Some out-of-town travel may be required. Should have a Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal certificate. Also, 5+ years of labor & employment experience which will include a litigation/trial background is preferred. Strong working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets; Bookkeeping experience a plus. Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a skilled communicator, a good writer, and have the ability to understand math concepts as it relates to wage issues. Strong analytical and computer/technical skills required, specifical proficiency in Excel. Ideally, thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and is willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
