Complex Commercial Litigation Attorney Duties: Manage a litigation caseload from inception to completion either independently or under the supervision of other attorneys. Conduct excellent legal research and provide thoughtfully written analyses of legal questions. Draft motions and briefs with minimal supervision. Work closely with other attorneys to provide recommendations for resolving legal issues. Communicate with clients and provide detailed reports on case status. Attend hearings and pretrial conferences. Maintain client expectations by providing professional and timely updates on cases. Develop case strategies and projections. Handle depositions and court appearances. Qualifications: J.D. degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in Florida. Must have 2-3 years of relevant experience. General commercial litigation experience is required. Deposition and courtroom experience are needed. Experience with electronic discovery tools is a must. Should preferably have a solid experience in trials (bench and jury) as first or second chair; taking/defending depositions; motion practice and mediation/arbitration. Superior written and oral communication skills are necessary. Excellent research and writing skills are essential. Must have advanced technology skills for a paperless office with top-quality writing skills. The desire for hands-on courtroom experience. Ability to excel in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients. Above-average ability to adapt to change and the motivation to learn. Drive for success in the resolution of all cases, and zeal for participation in trials and handling appeals.
