Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for: Reception; Calendaring and managing attorney's schedule; Assist with the preparation, formatting, and proofreading of correspondence, memos, pleadings, and tax forms; Produce, edit and format legal documents such as transactional agreements, estate planning documents, pleadings; compose routine letters and memoranda; E-filing in Oregon state courts; Prepare/format corporate documents and arrange filing with offices of the Secretary of State; Perform UCC searches and filings; Transcription and summarizing salient points. Should have 3+ years experience as a legal assistant, preferably with experience in Oregon estate planning, trust administration, tax and/or real estate, or a Paralegal Certificate from accredited organization with 1+ years experience. High level of experience in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat required. Excellent proofreading and grammar skills, attention to detail required. Flexibility and ability to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities required. Self-starter with the ability to finish tasks without close supervision required. Tracking, calendaring and follow-up skills required. Demonstrate integrity, strong client-relationship skills, the ability to use judgment, tact, discretion, and keep information confidential. Ability to be a Notary for the State of Oregon required. Real estate documentation and/or tax experience preferred.
