Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for providing support for a heavy caseload, ensuring timely and accurate production of legal documentation, including electronic filing with State and Federal Courts. In both KS and MO. Will draft service of process, pleadings, discovery, letters, memos, forms, drafts, reports, and other legal documents. Work with clients to respond to discovery and be responsible for requesting and organizing medical records, and requesting police reports. Prepare correspondences to clients and adjusters. File correspondence and pleadings. Maintain electronic calendar entries for meetings and docketing. Answer phones and have client and court hearings contact (no cold calling). Takes ownership of issues and ensures problems are resolved promptly and professionally. Maintain a working knowledge of all firm services pertaining to processes and procedures. Perform within the Firm's regulations regarding account confidentiality and private personal information. Utilize various online systems for filing documents and updating files. Collaborate with others in the office to complete projects. Previous legal experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Accurate typing and proofreading skills required. Strong reading and comprehension skills required. High attention to detail required. Excellent communication skills, oral and written required. Must have excellent attendance. Be computer savvy and have the ability to multi-task. Should have solid experience in legal administration, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a desire to complete assignments, and a capacity for continual learning. The candidate will work for the collections and subrogation law firm.
